UKTA Black Belt Seminar & Grading 2012
The United Kingdom Taekwon-Do Association successfully completed the Black Belt Seminar and Grading from 9th – 11th March at Liberton High School in Edinburgh, Scotland.
Conducted on behalf of the UKTA Master’s Council by Snr. Master John Williamson (Scotland), Snr. Master John Taylor (Wales) and Snr. Master Gary Miller (England), the seminar covered each of the 24 Tuls, all types of sparring, flying kicks, Ho Sin Sul and flying multiple kicks.
Among the 78 participants and assisting the Senior Masters was Master Sean Cattanach (Scotland) and Master Derek Blackburn (England). 43 people applied for the promotion examination on Sunday 11th, including 23 students applying for 1st Dan.
Congratulations to everyone who successfully attended the course or was promoted, especially Didcot TKD members James and Pippa Pearce promoted to II Dan. Unsuccessful applicants have been advised of the areas on which they need to improve, and everyone is now looking forward to the next seminar and grading in September.
